| AFAS Software | Centric Paymaster | AFAS Payroll | Payroll | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, A Hak implemented AFAS Payroll in a targeted replacement of Centric Paymaster to centralize Payroll Processing within the company wide HR and IT modernization program. The AFAS Payroll application was deployed alongside a redesigned AFAS HR+Payroll footprint to consolidate employee master data and payroll calculation into a single platform for the construction and real estate business functions.
The implementation configured core payroll processing capabilities, statutory payroll calculations, and employee master data synchronization with HR modules, while extending AFAS Payroll with standard automation workflows for account lifecycle events. Standard ICT requests were automated with workflow triggers for create, edit, and delete account actions, rights provisioning, software and license assignments, and hardware requests, aligning payroll events to downstream provisioning steps.
Integrations were established and maintained between AFAS Payroll and the broader application landscape, including links to ERP 4PS NAV, the TopDesk ITSM platform with Self Service Portal and knowledge base, Active Directory for identity provisioning, SIM card inventories for mobile device records, and PowerBI for consolidated reporting. AFAS Payroll was operated within A Hak's 100 percent cloud posture on Microsoft 365 and Azure, with connectors feeding smart reports across AD, SIM card management and payroll data to support cross system analyses.
Governance and operational changes accompanied the technical rollout, including insourcing of service management and ServiceDesk roles to new internal employees, a PowerApps and PowerBI governance plan, ISO27001 certification and MFA enforcement for security, and backup redesign with extended Office365 retention. The payroll deployment was part of a broader program that reduced on premise server footprint and implemented managed networking, while enabling company wide visibility into ICT costs and centralized maintenance of links between applications.
