In 2009, AARP implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP in the ERP Financial category. The deployment centered on AARP finance, standardizing core accounting, transactional finance and financial reporting across its United States operations, with Oracle PeopleSoft ERP serving as the primary financial system of record.
Configuration work focused on core ERP Financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets and financial reporting workflows, aligned to AARP chart of accounts and period close procedures. Implementation activities emphasized accounting controls, automated journal processing, transaction validation and audit trail instrumentation consistent with PeopleSoft capabilities.

In 2010, AARP implemented Visual Lease as its Lease Management platform to centralize lease administration and support finance, grants, and strategic planning functions. The implementation was positioned to serve the Strategy, Integration, and Operations team of five, providing a single system of record for lease-related data and reporting that informed program metrics and budget oversight.
Visual Lease was configured to manage lease inventory, rent and payment schedules, lease accounting schedules, and reporting configurations consistent with Lease Management capabilities. The deployment was used alongside internal applications, with data flows between Visual Lease, PeRS, Concur, WorkFlow, JDE and GEAC to generate reconciliations, accounting entries, and consolidated reports for operational and financial review.
Operational scope included administration of a 900,000 dollar program budget and preparation of special reports to reconcile revenue and operating expenses, supporting operations, data and analytics, strategic planning, and grants. Governance and workflow changes centered on centralized reporting and cross-application report generation, with Visual Lease feeding lease information into existing accounting and expense systems to aid effective strategic planning toward the Foundation's mission and social impact goals.
