In 2007 ABB Sweden implemented SAP HCM (HR) as a Core HR deployment within its Sweden IS/IT portfolio. The SAP HCM (HR) implementation was delivered into an SAP-centric system landscape that covered roughly 50 Sweden common applications, supported about 12,000 users, and included a large number of integrations to other applications.
The SAP HCM (HR) rollout focused on core human capital management modules, including Personnel Management, Organizational Management, Payroll Accounting, Time Management, Adobe Interactive Forms, and Enterprise Portal. Configuration work emphasized standard personnel and payroll process workflows, time capture to payroll accounting flows, and form-driven employee interactions using Adobe Interactive Forms, consistent with Core HR functional practices.
Technically the SAP HCM (HR) instance was integrated into ABB Swedens broader SAP ERP landscape that operated Financial Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, Material Management, Sales and distribution, Product Data Management, Project systems, Business Warehouse, and Business Planning and Consolidation. The implementation supported cross-project integration patterns and many point-to-point and middleware-based interfaces as part of the SAP landscape, and it served as the foundation for regional template efforts such as the Northern Region template implementation.
