In 2012, ABEC implemented Infor CloudSuite Industrial (Syteline) as its Manufacturing ERP. The deployment leveraged Infor Syteline 8 ERP capabilities to centralize bill of materials control and manufacturing release processes for shop floor execution. Implementation scope emphasized Piping Modules and detailed BOM management, with teams assembling, editing, and managing process flow utilities and spools as pre-manufactured piping sections. Manufacturing personnel used the system to record As-Built post manufactured markups, and those As-Built datasets were packaged as turnover packages to Quality using a TOP workflow driven by Syteline BOM release functions. Engineering workflows incorporated Autodesk Inventor tube and pipe connections and AutoCAD pre-fabricated part drawings, enabling a CAD to BOM authoring pattern that populated Infor Syteline 8 ERP records. Design work included agitation system components such as motor, hub, and impellers and their installation details in bioreactors, with CAD deliverables aligned to ERP BOMs for production release. Governance centered on standards and formal release controls, following ASME Y14.5-2009 guidelines for GD&T on AutoCAD and Inventor drawings, and using Syteline configuration to enforce BOM revision and release to Manufacturing. Operational coverage tied Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality handoffs into a controlled turnover package workflow, with Infor CloudSuite Industrial (Syteline) acting as the transactional backbone for parts, BOMs, and release orchestration.
