Automation focused on schedule generation, exception handling workflows, and time adjudication to align crew availability with published train timetables.
Rollout scope emphasized operational coverage across station staff, onboard crew, and regional operations within Greater Anglia, centralizing roster governance between operations managers and HR teams. The implementation replaced WorkForce EmpCenter, consolidating workforce records and roster controls under the UKG Pro Workforce Management system.
Governance changes included formalized approval workflows for shift swaps, centralized roster versioning to support compliance with transport regulations, and role based access controls to separate operational scheduling from payroll reconciliation. Operational processes were restructured to standardize shift bidding and exception escalation between operations managers and HR.
