In 2021, Abello Batiment deployed Mailinblack Protect as its Secure Email Gateways (SEGs) solution. The small French construction and real estate firm of about 30 employees is using Mailinblack Protect to secure inbound corporate email and to filter messages submitted via the public website contact form. The deployment was scoped company wide to provide a perimeter filtering layer in front of the organization mailbox estate and to reduce direct exposure of web‑originated messages to internal inboxes.
Mailinblack Protect was configured to provide core SEG capabilities including anti spam filtering, anti phishing controls, attachment inspection, URL protection, quarantine management, and user level allowlist and blocklist management. The implementation used the Mailinblack Protect administration console to define sender verification rules, policy tiers and automated quarantine handling while enabling end user secure release workflows. Configuration emphasis was placed on protecting client facing communications and filtering inbound leads from the website.
Integration was implemented by routing website contact form submissions and general inbound mail through Mailinblack Protect into corporate mail routing, using standard mail ingestion patterns and MX level placement to position the SEG in the delivery path. Operational coverage included client facing teams and administrative functions that rely on corporate email for project inquiries, vendor communications and customer follow up. The solution was operated as a cloud hosted perimeter service to centralize email security and simplify management for a small IT footprint.
Governance was centralized to a designated administrator using Mailinblack Protect for policy administration and quarantine review, while end users managed message release through self service flows. Rollout followed a single phase company wide cutover to minimize fragmentation of policies and to accelerate tuning based on real traffic. Ongoing operations focused on policy refinement and admin review processes to maintain inbound filtering alignment with business messaging patterns.
