In 2019, ABMC implemented activpayroll to centralize Payroll and payroll processing across its organization, establishing a managed global payroll solution assisted by HR resources within activpayroll. The deployment was delivered as an outsourced, managed service for global payroll, aligning payroll processing, HR administration, and finance functions under the activpayroll application.
The implementation included activpayroll’s activ8 software for employee self-service and HR administration, enabling online payslips and annual statements, comprehensive reporting of people, job and project costs, secure transfer of documents between client and third parties, and an online timesheet system that replaced manual time collection. ABMC adopted activ8 as its HR system with a specific focus on ePeople and eTime capabilities to standardize time and personnel records.
On the technical side, the activTechnology team provided dedicated software developers and IT specialists who integrated activpayroll with ABMC’s other business management systems, and built General Ledger files to assist the client with Journal Accuracy. The architecture combined a managed payroll engine with integrations to HR data sources and finance posting outputs, supporting end to end payroll-to-ledger workflows.
Governance and process changes included appointment of a dedicated implementation team from activpayroll, configuration of workflows for timesheet submission and secure document exchange, and alignment of HR and payroll operational ownership to ensure ongoing data quality. The rollout replaced manual payroll and timesheet processes with automated eTime inputs and governed reporting, creating a single source for payroll data.
Results reported by ABMC show that payroll calculations improved, miscalculated contributions caused by legal rate updates were fixed, reporting became accurate and legally compliant, and improved data input reduced manual input errors. The implementation allowed payroll to be successfully established, with employees receiving payments accurately and on time.
