In 2016 Acme-Hardesty Company implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, upgrading from Microsoft Dynamics AX to address ERP Financial requirements for the 200-employee professional services firm. The rollout focused on centralizing financial and accounting processes while maintaining IT support continuity across the company. Configuration work concentrated on core ERP Financial capabilities within Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement controls, inventory valuation and financial reporting, with role-based security and system administration tailored to the organization. Operational support workflows were aligned with existing backup and imaging procedures, using MozyPro and Carbonite for backups and Microsoft Deployment Tool for PC and laptop imaging, and included day-to-day helpdesk administration through Spiceworks. The implementation operated alongside Acme-Hardesty's Microsoft Server estate and Office 365 productivity suite, integrating financial records with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and D365-based sales data, and leveraging Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business for collaboration. Remote access and secure connectivity were provided via SonicWall VPN and Remote Desktop, while endpoint governance used mobile device management for iOS devices and explicit security configurations carried forward from AX 2012 to D365 F/O.

Transplace Legacy Transplace TMS Transportation Management SCM n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, Acme-Hardesty implemented Transplace TMS as its Transportation Management solution to support distribution operations at its Blue Bell, Pennsylvania site. The deployment targeted core transportation workflows to standardize order-to-delivery planning and carrier execution under a single Transportation Management platform. Configuration of Transplace TMS emphasized category-aligned modules including rate management, shipment planning and tendering, carrier selection and tender automation, and freight settlement workflows. The implementation also incorporated load optimization and exception management capabilities to align carrier assignments with customer scheduling and equipment requirements. Governance introduced cross-functional workflows between demand management, logistics, quality, purchasing and sales, while account specialists retained responsibility for customer master maintenance, CSI and NCR processing, and billing adjustments including credits, debits and charge-back investigations. Operational controls focused on formalizing communication of delivery commitments and escalation paths for crisis resolution, aligning operational processes with the Transportation Management system.
