In 2018 Adairs implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX as an ERP Financial application to support customer service operations at Adairs Head Office. Between October 2018 and February 2019 a contract Customer Service Officer assigned via Horner Logistics documented day to day use of Microsoft Dynamics AX for order and service workflows.
The Microsoft Dynamics AX deployment was used for order processing and transaction recording, covering inbound call handling, outbound order placement, inquiry management, order redirects and cancellations. Agents performed follow ups on deliveries, managed open cases, checked stock levels and executed data entry that fed management reporting, reflecting core ERP Financial operational workflows.
Microsoft Dynamics AX was used alongside Salesforce, Zen desk, courier websites and EPI, creating an operational stack for CRM ticketing, order status checks and shipping coordination. These explicit system adjacencies enabled coordination between customer inquiries, ticket escalation and the ERP order records maintained in Microsoft Dynamics AX.
