In 2020 Adidas Spain began implementation of SAP S/4 HANA as part of the TRANS4RM digital program, with consulting and business process design focused on meeting objectives in the 2025 strategy. The work centered on the Sales workstream, aligning SAP S/4 HANA with sales functions across retail, ecommerce and wholesale channels, and the engagement was explicitly scoped as Business BP consulting for solution design.
The SAP S/4 HANA deployment targeted ERP Financial and sales-related process flows, emphasizing order to cash orchestration, customer master data alignment, pricing and invoicing configuration, and financial posting integration typical of an ERP Financial system. The implementation used the SAP S/4HANA for Fashion footprint to reflect industry specific data models and sales process variants for retail stores, digital storefronts and wholesale operations.
Data integration and migration were core to the scope, with necessary data brought into SAP S/4 HANA from external systems and with migration of transactional and master data from SAP ERP ECC 6.0. Integrations were defined to support channel specific order capture and fulfillment feeds, while consolidating financial posting and receivables data into the SAP S/4 HANA ledger.
Governance was organized around the sales workstream, where consulting teams designed end to end sales process flows and the associated data model to be enforced in SAP S/4 HANA. The program emphasized process standardization across business units, change in sales process governance, and a design driven rollout approach to embed the SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial capabilities into Adidas Spain operational practice.
