In 2010, AdvanIDe implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial system. The deployment established a centralized financial application to support accounting and consolidation across Singapore, United States and Germany entities, with operational coverage extending to regional support and training in India and China.
The implementation focused on core finance capabilities including general ledger, accounts receivable, inter and intra company cost allocation and recharges, monthly financial closing workflows, GST and tax reporting, audit schedule preparation, and group consolidation for management reporting. Project activities included mapping a new chart of accounts and performing data conversion into Oracle E-Business Suite to align account structures for consolidated reporting.
Testing and integrations were executed through System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing, with documented on site Tax and EFT testing during upgrade cycles. The environment also integrated employee claims processing through Concur, and testing and training events were coordinated in Irvine US and across regional offices to validate transactional flows and tax interfaces.
Governance and process restructuring encompassed supervised finance team coordination for monthly closes across local and overseas teams, cross department training on the new application, setup and training of an accounting shared service team in India, and the creation of process and documentation flows for both Oracle E-Business Suite and Concur. Post go live operations included liaison between users and IT to remediate issues, updating control procedures for tax filings and audit readiness, and embedding regular management reporting and variance analysis into finance workflows.
