Reservit Legacy Reservit Reservation and Booking Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2010 2010
In 2010, African Hotel Development Durban implemented Reservit Reservation and Booking Management on its public website. The deployment embedded the Reservit web booking engine into the Onomo Durban site to capture direct reservations, present real time availability, and display rate packaging for the property. Implementation scope targeted online reservation capture for the Durban hotel and customer facing booking workflows, aligned with the company operating footprint in South Africa and a staff base of roughly 21 employees. The implementation positioned Reservit as the primary Reservation and Booking Management layer for guest booking interactions on the corporate site. Configuration focused on standard Reservation and Booking Management capabilities, including the online booking engine, availability calendar, rate and inventory control, booking confirmation automation, and guest profile capture. These modules were tuned to the hotel's room types and rate plans and configured through the Reservit administrative console. The Reservit application was restated in operational documentation to ensure consistent handling of reservations and confirmations by the reservations function. Operational ownership resides with the hotel's reservations and front desk teams, who manage rate updates, inventory allocations, and booking validations through the Reservit interface. The rollout was web based and limited to on site operational coverage for the Durban property, with the website integration serving as the primary channel for direct bookings. Governance emphasized operational procedures for booking acceptance, guest data capture, and confirmation workflows within the Reservit Reservation and Booking Management environment.
