In 2022, Agnico Eagle Mines engaged Ausenco for a reliability centered maintenance project at its Meadowbank site in Nunavut, Canada using Ausenco Orien Asset Management Software as the core application. This work targeted the Meadowbank long haul truck fleet and was executed on site, aligning Ausenco Orien Asset Management Software with Enterprise Asset Management practices to support reliability engineering and fleet maintenance workflows.
Ausenco used Orien to construct a detailed component hierarchy for the truck fleet, and to perform failure modes analysis and prioritization. The implementation focused on building asset structure and failure mode records, and on optimizing preventive maintenance tasks and intervals consistent with reliability centered maintenance methodologies.
Operational coverage was explicitly the Meadowbank long haul truck fleet, impacting maintenance, reliability engineering, and fleet operations functions. No external system integrations are documented in the project write up, the scope remained concentrated on asset modeling, failure mode analysis, and preventive maintenance optimization within the Orien environment.
Governance and process changes centered on formalizing RCM outputs into maintenance policy updates and preventive maintenance task lists, with Orien serving as the system of record for component hierarchies and failure mode documentation. The project translated RCM analysis into updated PM intervals and task definitions, creating a repeatable workflow for reliability assessments and maintenance decision making.
Outcomes reported in the Ausenco project write up include a 2.9% availability gain, an estimated reduction of approximately 8,000 hours per year in downtime, and about 220,000 dollars per year in parts and lubricants savings. The documentation explicitly attributes the use of Ausenco Orien Asset Management Software to the analysis and deliverables that produced these results.
