In 2010, Agravis Raiffeisen AG engaged Windhoff Software Services GmbH to implement and standardize SAP BusinessObjects as its core Analytics and BI platform, establishing a regional, long term partnership for BI consulting and services. The engagement focused on embedding reporting capabilities that support both standard reporting and ad hoc analysis across the agricultural trade group.
Windhoff Software Services implemented reporting toolsets and configured a semantic layer within the SAP BusinessObjects environment, enabling a clear separation between raw data and front end report authorship. SAP BusinessObjects was used to deliver ad hoc analysis and standard report delivery, with the semantic layer simplifying complex table structures so business users can compile reports without deep IT knowledge.
Operational coverage included controllers and line users across AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, with more than 600 employees actively using the SAP BusinessObjects system to produce flexible reports for management and business operations. The implementation emphasized front end usability and self service Analytics and BI workflows to support management reporting and operational decision making.
Governance and rollout were supported by Windhoff through extensive consulting and training programs, BI experts followed each project step and provided ongoing support for BI matters. As a result of the training and semantic layer configuration, user autonomy was ensured, controllers could generate flexible reports with a few mouse clicks, and Windhoff remained the service partner for continued BI operations.
