SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2014 2015
In 2014, Agravis Raiffeisen implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial backbone for core finance and transactional accounting across the group. The implementation established a central SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance to support financial accounting and invoice processing across a business that operates with more than 6,300 employees at over 400 locations in Germany. The deployment concentrated on standardizing financial and merchandise-adjacent processes, with explicit configuration of SAP FI for invoice workflows and integrations into point of sale operations. Functional capabilities implemented included SAP-based cash register integration for agricultural centers and Raiffeisen markets, and the commissioning of SAP transport management for piece goods to support planning, execution and freight cost calculation. Integrations were executed to connect the SAP environment with multiple existing application landscapes, including GWS and IBM i based systems Ramos/400 and the Raiffeisen information system Iris, and with the document management supplier D.velop to centralize invoice capture and archival. The project connected three other merchandise management systems to SAP FI, enabling a uniform digital invoice process and a transport collaboration platform to exchange operational information with logistics partners. Governance and rollout were organized through the multi-year Dock project, initiated in 2019 with a core team of around 130 people to define cross-departmental standard processes and a uniform SAP process world. A focused six month delivery integrated the invoice workflow into SAP together with D.velop, prior to full merchandise management conversions, and new SAP cash registers were rolled out to frontline retail locations ahead of subsequent ERP consolidation. By 2020 Agravis was investing around 11 million euros in digitization and operating the consolidated invoice solution with about 1,400 users processing approximately 1,000,000 invoices annually via the SAP-integrated workflow. The program articulates a clear strategic objective to move the uniform SAP process world toward SAP S/4 Hana to further standardize and automate finance and merchandise processes.

SAP Legacy SAP S/4 HANA Retail Retail Management ERP Services and Operations consenso Consulting 2020 2023
In 2020, AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG implemented SAP S/4 HANA Retail together with SAP Customer Checkout as part of a Retail Management initiative to address an aging point-of-sale environment and meet new cash register regulations in Germany. The rollout covered AGRAVIS’s retail footprint of more than 400 locations in Germany and aligned retail transaction processing with the company’s broader international operations across subsidiaries and affiliated companies. The implementation emphasized point-of-sale functionality, using SAP Customer Checkout and the SAP Customer Checkout manager to handle special offers, discounts, loyalty card processing, central gift card management, and to enable scenarios such as digital receipts and self checkout. SAP S/4 HANA Retail was positioned as the core retail application for transaction and master data, supporting real-time sales and inventory visibility required by retail operations. Architecturally the solution leveraged native integration between SAP Customer Checkout, SAP S/4 HANA Retail, and the SAP Customer Activity Repository, with transaction flows transmitted directly to warehouse management and accounting applications. The project engaged consenso Consulting GmbH as the implementation partner, applying a fit to standard approach to integrate POS, warehouse, and financial data streams and to deliver the program within a six month timeline. Governance and operational control were centralized through the SAP Customer Checkout manager for monitoring POS terminals and enforcing configuration across sites, while process changes focused on consolidating sales and inventory reporting into a single source of real time data. Reported outcomes included increased sales transparency, heightened central control of POS terminals, streamlined operational processes, and a faster checkout experience for customers, while positioning AGRAVIS to pursue omnichannel linking of online and offline sales.
