| SAP | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, AIG UK migrated from SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4 HANA. The SAP S/4 HANA implementation acted as the central ERP Financial platform for the EMEA finance organization, aligning general ledger, treasury, tax and regulatory reporting processes under a single SAP S/4 HANA architecture.
The deployment focused on core financial accounting and GL harmonization, master data management for global and regional GL hierarchies, and the development of cash flow reporting using direct methodology. SAP S/4 HANA workstreams included data provisioning for IFRS, UK GAAP, audit and regulatory returns, and configuration efforts that supported reconciliations between Financial Statement Line items and GL balances.
Integration work explicitly tied SAP S/4 HANA to the existing SAP BI landscape, including SAP Business Intelligence 7.0, SAP BusinessObjects reporting, SAP Data Services and an initial BW on HANA migration phase. The program also reconciled transactional data with third party reinsurance systems and FSL posting flows, and delivered HANA models developed in HANA Studio to support Property and Casualty specific reporting requirements for the FSMG EMEA regions.
Governance and rollout for the EMEA scope included EMEA testing and approvals, a single point of contact for GL master data changes with the Global MDM team, and a structured remediation process for BI data inconsistencies. The project delivered reusable extraction logic, SI pack reports for UK and Nordic regions, PRA returns support and ongoing incident coordination between global support and technical teams, reflecting a tightly integrated financial reporting and data provisioning posture centered on SAP S/4 HANA.

| Starfish Associates | Legacy | Starfish Provisioning Solution | Intelligent Process Automation | AI-Powered Application | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, AIG UK implemented the Starfish Provisioning Solution from Starfish Associates as an Intelligent Process Automation initiative to centralize telephony provisioning and directory management within its corporate telephony function. The deployment targeted Avaya user lifecycle workflows, aiming to streamline the deletion and addition of Avaya telephone users and to reduce routine telephony administration for end users.
The implementation included an automated directory and provisioning engine and a self service portal for telephone users that removed basic administration tasks from support teams. Starfish Provisioning Solution was configured to automate internal directory updates and to provision new attendant directories across Europe using Avaya One X attendant, applying lifecycle automation patterns common to Intelligent Process Automation for user provisioning, approval routing, and directory synchronization. Operational management included administration of Avaya Session Manager and Avaya System Manager as part of the solution supporting provisioning and call routing integrity.
Integration and operational coverage extended to work with Avaya platforms, Verizon, and third party partners during a broader migration of the telephony estate to SIP. The project supported physical relocation of the Rotterdam and Istanbul branch offices and coordinated first day support and ongoing end user support, and it assisted business leads in migrating branch offices from ISDN to SIP in preparation for SIP native capabilities such as presence.
Governance changes centered on shifting basic telephony administration to automated workflows and a self service experience, with internal and external teams collaborating on cutover and first day support procedures. Explicit outcomes recorded include reduced basic telephony administration for end users and reduced call costs linked to the ISDN to SIP migration, while ongoing support and session manager administration remained part of the operational model.
