In 2017, Air General implemented Clearstar ESR Check for BackGround Screening to support hiring and pre-employment vetting workflows. The implementation aligned with HR operations in Tampa, Florida, where an administrator executed interviewing and submission of ESR background checks from November 2017 to June 2018, and managed onboarding tasks for new hires.
Clearstar ESR Check was used alongside onboarding activities including processing and verifying I9 forms, collecting W4, direct deposit and pay card information, and handling life insurance enrollment paperwork. Operational responsibilities documented during the period included clearing exceptions and approving time cards, processing payroll reports, and administering PANs for status changes, promotions, wage adjustments, probationary and annual reviews, and terminations.
Operational workflows touched adjacent HR and payroll tooling, with day to day activity referencing the Paycor payroll system and Gallagher marketplace information for full time employees, and coordination with managers to maintain accuracy across a 250 plus employee population. The implementation supported scheduling and pickup of badges and parking passes, and routine escalation of employee and manager issues to the HR department.
Governance and process ownership rested with HR administrators who handled case escalation, manager coordination, and payroll issue resolution, while the Clearstar ESR Check application provided the candidate screening capability that fed into these HR processes. Clearstar ESR Check in the BackGround Screening category therefore became a documented component of Air General human resources and payroll related workflows during 2017.
