| SAP | SAP R/3 | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010, Air Liquide UK implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as an ERP Financial deployment to align with the companys OPERA program and upgrade its core financial systems. The implementation followed Air Liquide group priorities for business process standardization in Europe and was executed with a focus on financial accounting and controlling capabilities provided by SAP ERP ECC 6.0.
The engagement consolidated functionality that had previously existed across more than 30 custom built applications, Infosys analyzing and combining those datasets and processes into one integrated SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance. The implementation leveraged standard ERP Financial workflows, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost controlling configurations, and where Air Liquide offices operated SAP SRM 5.0, the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 configuration was aligned to support procurement process integration.
Operational scope included an accelerated roll out for the Dutch subsidiary ALBV, which completed its OPERA implementation in seven months instead of the typical 18 months, driven by a mandate to retire older applications and reduce maintenance burden. The project explicitly replaced a prior SAP R/3 environment with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as part of the consolidation, and the integrated system covered cross domain processes across finance and procurement touch points.
Governance centered on business process standardization across European sites, with Infosys providing the analysis and consolidation of custom application data into the ECC 6.0 landscape. The engagement closed with a stated savings on the original budgeted cost, and it supported Air Liquide UK business goals to streamline operations and avoid prohibitive maintenance costs.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA - Plant Maintenance (PM) | Plant Maintenance | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, Air Liquide UK implemented SAP S/4 HANA - Plant Maintenance (PM) as part of Project ALign to provision core maintenance capabilities for the EU Hub. The implementation targets Plant Maintenance workflows across the NEC Cluster including BeNeLux, the Nordics, and the United Kingdom.
Configuration work focused on the FL5 core data model in SAP PM, establishing structured master and transactional records, and enabling maintenance planning and execution processes. Maintenance planning and execution were orchestrated with SAP Field Service Management, and the program addressed work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, and parts and inventory control aligned to Plant Maintenance functional terminology.
Inventory and parts governance was implemented using E-class taxonomy and defined financial rules for part valuation and stocking, with explicit preparation and ongoing governance for master data excellence. The project consolidated Engineering Installation and Maintenance domain processes, positioning the Cluster Domain Leader for EIM to coordinate solution design, operational standards, and Industrial Management System procedures.
Operational controls extended to standards for cold embrittlement mitigation and overpressure protection during cryo filling, reflecting the industrial management procedures adopted across NEC countries. Governance structures emphasize master data stewardship, transactional data controls, and process ownership for maintenance planning, execution, and inventory management.
