In 2014 Air Works implemented Ramco ERP as its ERP Financial solution. The Ramco ERP deployment supported maintenance planning and execution workflows for Air Works India Pvt Ltd in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, with documented operational activity spanning June 2016 to July 2018.
Implementation focused on configuring transactional capabilities to capture work order processing and financial recording alongside inventory provisioning. Functional capabilities implemented included creation of unscheduled work orders based upon the NRC provided by the Engineers, preparation of pre-load spare lists and a daily shortage list, and man hour planning for scheduled and special checks. Work package creation with supporting documents and structured workflow tracking was embedded into Ramco ERP to standardize maintenance execution and documentation.
The Ramco ERP instance served as the central record for coordination between customer, engineering, stores and logistics, enabling sourcing and provisioning workflows for shortage items and the routing of material requests. Operational coverage centered on maintenance, engineering and stores departments at the Chennai site and included creation of man hours in liaison with engineers for quotation, evaluation and ground time purposes. Verification and scrutinizing of completed work packages and updation of data was performed directly in the RAMCO ERP System as part of daily operations.
Governance and process controls emphasized pre planning of tooling and materials in liaison with engineering and stores, monthly man hour plans and arranging approved skilled personnel for special jobs. The configuration captured verification checkpoints and required engineers and planners to update task completion and associated financial and inventory data in Ramco ERP, instituting a standardized workflow orchestration across maintenance and support functions.
