In 2022, Bharti Airtel India implemented Oracle Cloud ERP to modernize core ERP Financial processes and to integrate finance, planning and supply chain operations. The deployment included Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning alongside Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain and Management, and was executed by Oracle Consulting Group, expanding Airtel’s existing Oracle Cloud footprint after an earlier move to Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management.
The implementation configured Oracle Cloud ERP financial management and planning capabilities, and extended procurement and supply chain functionality through Oracle Cloud SCM to support shared services operations. Airtel used these modules to automate manual processes and to provide an on demand 360 degree view of financial data, aligning ERP Financial workflows with end to end procurement and supply chain processes.
Architecturally the program established a cloud first SaaS deployment model for core back office systems, replacing Oracle E Business Suite as the transactional ERP platform and integrating with the broader Oracle Cloud application set. Operational coverage targeted Airtel’s corporate finance, planning, procurement and shared services layers across the carrier’s multi country operations, leveraging a unified Oracle Cloud ERP and SCM application stack.
Governance and process workstreams focused on transforming shared services operating models to improve productivity and agility, with change activities aimed at standardizing workflows and enabling employees and partners to work more effectively for customer engagement. Explicit outcomes stated by the project include automation of manual tasks, streamlined procurement and supply chain management, and an on demand 360 degree financial data view enabled by Oracle Cloud ERP in support of Airtel’s finance and planning functions.

In 2021, Bharti Airtel India implemented Oracle Cloud HCM. The Oracle Cloud HCM deployment, classified as Core HR, was executed by Oracle Consulting Group and followed Airtel's broader expansion of Oracle Cloud applications that included Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM.
The implementation emphasized Core HR capabilities such as centralized employee records, workforce administration and shared services workflows, configured to support Airtel's employees and associates across its operations. Oracle Cloud HCM was provisioned as a cloud SaaS instance and integrated into Airtel's Oracle Cloud application landscape to provide consistent HR data models and standardized HR functional processes.
Operational governance was aligned with Airtel's shared services transformation agenda to drive productivity and agility, with process standardization and role based access controls to support HR, finance and operations teams. The HCM deployment expanded Airtel's Oracle Cloud footprint and was positioned to support changes in internal operating models and cross functional collaboration between HR and enterprise shared services.
