In 2017 Alameda Alliance for Health implemented Cognizant TriZetto QNXT as its Core Admin Processing System, with Cognizant listed as the vendor supporting the deployment. The implementation was scoped to payer administrative domains and carried out in Alameda County, California, to serve claims, provider relations, customer service, and enrollment functions across the organization.
The Cognizant TriZetto QNXT deployment included core modules for Member administration, Provider management, Claims Processing, and Utilization Management, and involved configuration of Medicare HMO and POS benefits. Business rules workstreams and a rules engine were developed and configured, accompanied by data mapping to transform source feeds into QNXT structures and by local application setup for customization and debugging activity.
Integrations and operational coordination included direct engagement with Health Insurance Exchange program staff and stakeholders, and extensive liaison activity with internal departments including claims, provider relations, customer service, and enrollment. Data mapping artifacts and transformation rules were created to align ancillary systems and scheduling systems with QNXT processing flows.
