In 2022 All Points North deployed Kipu EMR as its Electronic Health Record, aligning the multi-site, 77-bed behavioral health system based in Colorado with a centralized clinical documentation platform. The deployment targeted clinical documentation workflows across treatment centers where clients receive two individual therapy sessions weekly, creating a high volume of progress notes that needed operational attention.
Kipu EMR was configured to centralize encounter records, progress note templates, and clinician documentation workflows, and the organization extended functionality by integrating Eleos Scribe with Kipu EMR. Eleos Scribe listens to therapeutic sessions and automatically transforms raw conversations into progress note suggestions, providing automated note drafting and session summarization capabilities that feed structured suggestions back into the Kipu EMR record.
The integration was scoped at the treatment center level and managed by operations leadership, including senior manager of operations Andrea Boorse, with pilot and testing phases used to validate clinician workflows. Operational coverage focused on clinical operations and treatment teams across APN sites, embedding AI-assisted documentation into existing clinician routines within Kipu EMR while governance emphasized phased rollout and clinician acceptance. APN reported that the Eleos Scribe integration supported documentation in centers that had been struggling, producing structured progress note suggestions inside Kipu EMR as part of the documented pilot.
