In 2015, Allinton Engineering & Trading implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment was led from the finance function, where a Group Senior Accountant acting as Head of Department coordinated the project and supervised a Finance team of eight during configuration and rollout.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV was configured to support core accounting and operational finance workflows, including General Ledger posting, accounts receivable processes for credit and collections, cash management, inventory accounting, payroll processing, and GST tax submission. The implementation encompassed group consolidation capabilities to produce monthly, quarterly and yearly closings, and functional configuration supported budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis workflows.
Operational coverage included Company and subsidiaries financial reporting within the Singapore organization, where the system became the central record for month end close and consolidated reporting. The platform was used across finance, payroll and inventory functions to standardize transactional posting and reporting, aligning daily activities such as bank interactions, tax submissions and inventory valuation with a single ERP Financial system.
Governance and process restructuring accompanied the rollout, with design of Standard Operating Procedures and implementation of internal controls to enforce financial and operational processes. The finance lead and team used Microsoft Dynamics NAV to prepare schedules and reports required for auditors, coordinate with tax agents and bank consultants, and to support IPO preparation and finance-related legal interactions by providing standardized financial information.
