In 2011 Ambar implemented Redicom Commerce Platform to power its online storefront, deploying the Redicom Commerce Platform as the core eCommerce application on its public website. The deployment targeted Ambar's direct-to-consumer and distributor sales flows on the company website hosted for Portugal, aligning product presentation, pricing, and customer account management under a single storefront.
Configuration centered on standard eCommerce functional modules, including product catalog management, SKU and pricing configuration, shopping cart and checkout orchestration, customer account and authentication, content management for product and brand pages, and an order management workflow for fulfillment processing. The Redicom Commerce Platform was configured to support promotional pricing and catalog segmentation relevant to Ambar's manufacturing product set, and to present product detail and SKU information consistently across the site.
Operationally the implementation ran on Ambar's website and covered sales, e-commerce operations, marketing, and fulfillment touchpoints within the company. The platform provides and was used with common integration points for payment processing, shipping logistics, and back office systems, enabling data exchange between the storefront and downstream operational systems where required.
Governance emphasis focused on centralized catalog control and publication workflows, standardized order handling procedures, and marketing content governance to align SKU-level merchandising with fulfillment processes. The narrative reflects an eCommerce-centric architecture implemented by Ambar using Redicom Commerce Platform, supporting product management, customer self-service, and order orchestration across the company website.
