In 2015, Amcor Group implemented Serrala FinanceSuite for AP Automation to centralize and standardize accounts payable processing across its finance organization. The deployment of Serrala FinanceSuite focused on invoice capture, automated workflow routing, exceptions handling, and a centralized document archive to support accounts payable operations.
The implementation included configuration of automated invoice ingestion and validation, rule-based approval workflows, and a retention-oriented archiving layer to reduce active data footprints. Serrala FinanceSuite was instrumented for performance tuning and throughput optimization to support high-volume AP workloads and automated exception escalation.
Operational ownership was concentrated in accounts payable and corporate finance, with governance practices introduced for invoice approval SLAs, archival retention policies, and exception management workflows. The rollout emphasized process standardization and archival discipline rather than changes to named upstream systems.
Amcor reported improved system performance by more than 50 percent and a reduction of active AP data by more than 50 percent, with approximately 5TB of data archived, according to Rob Bobba at Amcor Rigid Plastics. Serrala FinanceSuite for AP Automation delivered the stated outcomes while establishing a structured, centralized platform for ongoing accounts payable operations.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017, Amcor Group initiated an RFP and implementation program for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to establish a centralized Core HR platform across its EMEA footprint and align HR technology with the company People agenda. The program was driven by the Global HRIS team based in Zurich, reporting into HR and IT stakeholders, and positioned SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the primary Core HR application for employee master data, global and local reporting, and regulatory data retention configuration.
Configuration work emphasized Core HR capabilities typical of an Employee Central deployment, including a centralized employee data hub, global and local reporting catalogs to meet country regulatory requirements, and configuration of privacy and retention controls to support GDPR obligations. The program included collaboration with HR business partners to translate local requirements into system design and to define reporting suites for compliance and people insights.
Integrations were scoped explicitly with the enterprise automation platform Blue Prism for RPA-driven task automation and with existing HR systems in parallel operations, evidenced by concurrent oversight of Workday and SuccessFactors releases and regression testing activities. The implementation program also managed multiple third party providers for support and system enhancements, with the Global HRIS Manager leading contract negotiations and operational vendor governance.
Governance was structured around an HRIS Roadmap and a release management cadence, with formal uptake and regression testing processes for SuccessFactors feature releases and coordinated change control between IT and HR BPs. The rollout approach emphasized regional execution in EMEA with global oversight from the Global HRIS function, and specific controls to ensure adherence to country-specific data privacy and retention regulations.
