In 2010 AmerisourceBergen implemented OpenText ProVision in an initiative aligned to the Analytics and BI,Process Mining category. The deployment is attributed to Metastorm MBPM heritage and is inferred here as part of OpenText ProVision following acquisition lineage, positioning the implementation as enterprise process intelligence and process mining instrumentation.
The implementation covered over 200 business processes deployed across the enterprise and was governed via a centrally chartered BPM Center of Excellence. Operational scope focused on mission critical workflows, explicitly including contracts and chargebacks, with governance centralized to standardize process modeling, documentation, and continuous process improvement.
Functional capabilities implemented included process modeling and orchestration, process monitoring and instrumentation, and process mining and analytics to increase process transparency and enable operational visibility. Configuration emphasized reusable process artifacts and standardized process metrics consistent with Analytics and BI,Process Mining solutions, and the OpenText ProVision application was used as the runtime and analytical layer.
Governance changes included establishment of the BPM Center of Excellence to manage process lifecycle, enforce process design standards, and coordinate rollouts across business units. The initiative explicitly targeted improved process transparency and achieved multi-million dollar savings on mission critical processes such as contracts and chargebacks, reflecting measurable cost outcomes reported for the Metastorm MBPM based program.
