| Cognizant | Legacy | Cognizant TriZetto Facets | Core Admin Processing System | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Amida Care implemented Cognizant TriZetto Facets as its Core Admin Processing System to centralize claims adjudication and eligibility workflows across Medicaid and Medicare programs. Amida Care Cognizant TriZetto Facets Core Admin Processing System was positioned to support claims processing, eligibility and enrollment, provider network management, and member billing functions for state welfare programs including CHIP, SNAP, and TANF as well as Medicare Advantage operations.
The implementation configured TriZetto Facets functional modules including claims processing and adjudication, billing, member and subscriber management, accounting, utilization management, and PBM web-portal configuration. The project included development and execution of test plans, test scenarios, and UAT tasks for TriZetto Facets 4.x, along with functional and usability testing, and creation of requirements traceability matrices linking high level business needs to epics and user stories.
The technical architecture linked Facets to backend data platforms and interoperability layers, using Oracle database tables for transactional data and Azure SQL for reporting and performance troubleshooting. ETL design and data mapping produced normalized and denormalized data models and snowflake schemas, and EDI transaction handling was implemented for HIPAA X12 834, 837, 835, 270/271, and 277 standards, with operational interfaces to MMIS Medicaid claims resolution and CMS/Medicaid program flows.
Governance and delivery used Agile and Scrum practices, including daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospectives, JAD sessions for requirements elicitation, and backlog management in JIRA and Azure DevOps. Documentation and knowledge management were maintained in Confluence, and the business analyst team led requirements management, creation of user stories, and coordination of onshore and offshore development, QA, DevOps, and release activities.
Operational scope covered claims and billing teams, eligibility adjudication, provider relations, and operations reporting, with responsibilities that included logical data modeling, SQL-based data validation, mapping documents, MIS reporting for underwriting and backlog tracking, and coordination of UAT acceptance criteria. The implementation integrated Facets-driven workflows with EMR interfaces and payer/provider EDI exchanges to support daily Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial HMO/PPO claims processing.

In 2017, Amida Care implemented Hotjar on its public website to capture qualitative user behavior as part of its Customer Experience program. Amida Care deployed Hotjar to support web analytics, user research, and member engagement functions across its digital channels. The implementation positioned Hotjar as a source of session-level behavioral signals to inform content and experience decisions.
The Hotjar deployment used the vendor client-side JavaScript snippet to enable session recordings, heatmaps, conversion funnels, on-site feedback widgets and hosted surveys, and Hotjar data was integrated into existing web analytics workflows rather than backend systems. The scope of the deployment was the website, with operational ownership leaning to digital experience, marketing and product teams who used behavioral insights to prioritize UX and content work. Given Amida Care's insurance and healthcare context, the rollout included alignment with web governance and privacy controls for data capture and on-site feedback.
