| SAP | Legacy | SAP Ariba Invoice | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, AmBank implemented SAP Ariba Invoice as an AP Automation solution to centralize invoice intake and payable processing across its corporate headquarters and all AmBank branches. The deployment targeted transactional processing for vendor services including repair and maintenance, pest control and hygiene, teallady and cleaner services, bulk and corporate mailing, and stationery provisioning.
SAP Ariba Invoice was configured to support invoice capture and validation, line item and rate verification, charge out reconciliation for bulk mailing, and exception routing for mismatched quantities or service charges. Functional workflows reflect accounts payable processing requirements, including document completeness checks and approval routing tied to payable account processing rules.
The implementation integrated SAP Ariba Invoice with the bank payable account processing to ensure invoices processed in Ariba flowed into the accounts payable ledger for payment execution. Operational coverage included day to day invoice verification by administrative clerks responsible for liaising with vendors on service schedules and for verifying quantities, service charge rates and billing accuracy for branch and HQ mailings.
Governance implemented through the Ariba workflow enforced service level agreement controls and time to approve and pay metrics, with clerks required to ensure invoices had complete documentation and were paid within the defined turnaround time. SAP Ariba Invoice supported SLA tracking and structured exception handling for complaints about non receipt or delay of mailed notices and statements, embedding AP control points into invoice processing and charge out preparation.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle PeopleSoft HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010, AmBank implemented Oracle PeopleSoft HCM. The deployment established Core HR capabilities to centralize employee master data, position management, and HR workflow orchestration for AmBank Group's HR organization in Malaysia.
The implementation covered Core HR modules and extended to Workforce Administration, Global Payroll, Absence Management, and Claims processing, with Business Requirement Documents and Functional Specifications prepared for Core HR and Global Payroll. Configuration work focused on workforce data models, payroll rule configuration, absence and leave workflows, and claims processing flows consistent with Core HR and HCM operational needs.
A documented upgrade project occurred in 2019 and 2020 when PeopleSoft was migrated from 9.0 to 9.2, during which project initiation and kick-off activities were executed, requirement gathering completed, and systematic testing phases were run. System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and a Pilot Run were led by internal QA leadership while daily upgrade coordination was maintained with the vendor.
Governance formalized BRD walkthroughs with stakeholders, FSD deliverables, QA team leadership for PeopleSoft testing, and staged testing governance across SIT, UAT and pilot phases to manage the upgrade lifecycle of Oracle PeopleSoft HCM.

| Temenos | Legacy | Temenos T24 | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2007 | 2007 |
In 2007, AmBank implemented Temenos T24 as its Core Banking platform. The deployment established Temenos T24 as the transactional core supporting retail and corporate account processing, general ledger services, payments orchestration, and deposit and loan processing across the bank's Malaysia operations.
Between January 2019 and June 2020 Cognizant participated as part of the AmBank T24 upgrade team to move the bank's T24 installation from R07 to R18. The upgrade scope explicitly included reviewing and revising existing code to ensure compatibility with the R18 release and coding standards, converting services, jobs, and screens, conducting unit testing, performing test upgrades from R07 to R18, fixing issues encountered, and documenting findings.
Workstreams combined functional configuration and technical refactoring, with emphasis on application code compatibility, batch job orchestration, and screen conversion to preserve transaction processing and online channel continuity. The upgrade effort implied reconfiguration of core modules typical for Core Banking such as accounts, deposits, lending, payments, and ledger processing while aligning service interfaces and scheduled jobs to the R18 architecture.
Governance centered on enforcing R18 coding standards, structured unit testing cycles, test upgrade runs, issue tracking, and documentation for remediation. Operational responsibility spanned IT development, testing, and operations teams within AmBank and the external upgrade team during the documented upgrade period.
