The deployment emphasized Oracle Fusion modules to consolidate transactional finance and to support higher availability for store-level transactions. The implementation was executed within a Microsoft centric estate that had adopted Office 365 across the organization, and it included a journey to cloud that migrated selected services to Microsoft Azure. A new wide area network rolled out across the entire retail estate served as a foundational infrastructure element to provide consistent connectivity and higher availability for Oracle Cloud ERP. Governance and rollout were led by the Head of IT for UK and Ireland, who remodeled the IT team and project managed the cloud migration, adjusting support models and operational processes to the cloud deployment. The rollout approach prioritized marginal gains and high availability to maximize sales capability at the retail level.

Incidents and change requests for PeopleSoft HR were managed through BMC Footprints ticketing, and the support model included escalation to third line external providers under a service management framework. Governance and run operations were formalized through a second line support function that managed incidents and change requests through to resolution, plus active participation in the UK Information Governance group. Operational processes emphasized ticket lifecycle management, data integration monitoring for front office and back office applications, and service management coordination with third party support teams.
