Operational integrations were executed as process integrations rather than named system interfaces, with AR staff collecting and verifying transactional information from production, packing, sales, and shipping departments to validate invoices and resolve disputes. The billing process also interfaced operationally with carrier negotiation and contract decisions, supporting carrier selection and freight billing validation within the billing cycle.
Governance and workflow changes focused on credit management and collections. AR personnel used Dun and Bradstreet data and credit references to evaluate customer creditworthiness, set credit terms, and make freeze or unfreeze decisions for delinquent accounts, while maintaining detailed documentation of every client contact.
