SAP S/4 HANA - Asset Management was configured to support core asset management responsibilities including setting asset strategies, defining maintenance and reliability tactics, and formalizing data standards and processes across the asset life cycle. The implementation targeted Maintenance Work Management workflows and embedded SAP PM data structures, with an explicit focus on module roadmap alignment and the definition of performance metrics and reporting capabilities tied to maintenance and reliability outcomes. The EAM implementation was integrated into the broader ERP technology stack through application integration, enterprise reporting, business intelligence and analytics, mobile enablement of ERP functionality, business process management and intelligent automation. Operational coverage was defined to span business units and geographies, supporting AS&R requirements across all operations and maintaining alignment with Finance, Supply Chain and HR systems for transactional and planning data flows. Governance and process restructuring were formalized through a dedicated EA liaison role responsible for engaging functional leadership, collecting and prioritizing application demand, defining function specific roadmaps and budgets, and running cross functional forums. This role also served as the escalation point for application support incidents, managed upward escalation and coordinated capacity planning and skill requirements in liaison with global EA leadership and service providers. The program emphasis was explicitly linked to the P101 initiative, aiming to lift asset management practices across all operations to improve and sustain equipment health, enhance reliability and propagate good work practices, thereby contributing to the companys Burning Ambition.
