| SAP | Legacy | SAP Business Suite | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2004 | 2004 |
In 2004, Antalis UK implemented SAP Business Suite as its core ERP Financial platform for European distribution operations. The deployment established centralized transaction processing for sales, distribution, procurement, and finance supporting roughly 1500 SAP users across 10 countries.
Initial technical landscape included SAP R/3 4.6C mdmp with SD, MM, FI, CO modules and three codepages, progressing to SAP ERP ECC6 EHP5 unicode with SD, MM, FI, CO and CS modules. A decentralized SAP WMS ECC6 unicode instance provided WM, TRM and RF capabilities for one country. The SAP Business Suite deployment was supported by ABAP development, Oracle database reporting, and Pivotal scripting for CRM hot spots.
Integration architecture relied on MQ Series as the EAI layer for B2B and WMS interfaces using EDI and ALE, real time RFC links to the E-commerce website, and a decision system built on Oracle 10.2 with QickView 11 reporting. An SOA approach was initiated to enable end to end RFC integrations with partner streams including local WMS and CRM. Interfaces also connected to EDI, E-commerce, and external decision systems.
Operational governance included centralized development coordination, daily evolutive and corrective maintenance across 10 live countries, and team growth from 7 to 17 staff with an even internal external split. The IS team was a member of the Antalis IS Architecture committee, initiated partial outsourcing of development, and implemented an e-signature service for electronic billing documents. Major projects managed included transactional data archiving for SD and FICO and technical objects which went live in 2012, and an SAP ERP upgrade from 4.6C mdmp to ECC6 unicode completed live in 2013.

In 2017 Antalis UK implemented QlikView for Analytics and BI to centralize reporting for logistics, finance and operations. The deployment targeted operational reporting across warehousing and distribution, with direct consumption by eight Regional Distribution Centre Site Managers, the Regional Operations Manager, the Logistics Director and the Financial Director.
QlikView was configured to deliver cost centre reporting, operational performance dashboards, trend analysis and support for the annual budget and bi annual forecast cycles. The implementation surfaced monthly logistics cost figures, highlighted unusual variances to budget and provided interactive views used by a Business Analyst to monitor performance and trends.
The solution was populated from internal logistics and financial data sources to provide consolidated views for site level and regional decision making. Operational coverage emphasized warehousing and distribution cost control and reporting workflows rather than enterprise wide analytics.
Governance centered on cross functional business partnering, with the Business Analyst working directly with site managers and finance leadership to provide insight and advice on cost control. Explicit process changes included embedding QlikView reports into the annual budget and bi annual forecast process and a recurring cadence of variance analysis and follow up actions for cost improvements.
