In 2010, ANWB implemented Oracle E-Business Suite for ERP Financial operations. The deployment includes ongoing management of Oracle E-Business Suite modules across versions 11 and 12, establishing the application as the core financial system for accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger functions.
Oracle E-Business Suite is configured and operated with a broad module footprint including AR, AP, GL, PA, FA, OTL, INV and AC in the 11/12 landscape, with PO, E-TAX and WCC managed in EBS 12. Financial auxiliary tooling under operational management includes APRO 5 and cash management, and the estate also includes an Apex web application that supports Small Sales Administrations and the Member Purchasing team.
Operational coverage centers on finance and procurement functions, specifically the Member Purchasing team and small sales administration groups, with first line incident handling and problem resolution routed through service requests logged at the Oracle Helpdesk. The team’s responsibilities include resolving incidents, testing fixes and implementing changes within Oracle E-Business Suite and the Apex web application.
Governance is structured around Role Based Access Control, the team sets up and maintains RBAC and creates and maintains or changes user roles and entitlements to enforce segregation of duties and access policies. Since 2014 the operational model has followed a scrum agile method for change delivery, combining first line support duties with iterative configuration and release activities for the ERP Financial environment.

Functional modules implemented include natural language understanding, intent classification, dialogue management, multi-turn conversation handling, and FAQ and guided assistance flows, reflecting standard Chatbots and Conversational AI capabilities for first-line automation. Voxtron IrisBot was configured to present structured guidance and scripted troubleshooting paths for common service inquiries.
Operational scope focuses on customer service and contact functions across ANWB’s web properties in the Netherlands, with content and conversation flows owned by the service organization. Governance and operational processes center on conversation design, content management, testing and iterative tuning, and escalation workflows that hand complex issues to human agents. The ANWB Voxtron IrisBot implementation positions the application within ANWB’s Chatbots and Conversational AI footprint for customer-facing support.
