Business functions impacted included production execution, materials purchasing, engineering time calculation and quality complaint handling. Governance and process changes accompanied the technical implementation, including implementation of production KPI programs, weekly production reports, management by objectives and shop floor visualization, plus a 5S external audit and Lean Management training program. Apator reported explicit operational outcomes after the Infor LN rollout, including average reductions in engineering time of 32 percent for THT technology and 40 percent for TEST technology. The company also recorded a reduction in overdue complaints by 87 percent in 2017 versus 2016 and a reduction in production team holiday backlog by 5.6 percent corresponding to 214 days. A cost reduction program and the centralized control of production, purchasing and BOMs were cited as part of the program governance.
