The deployment targeted a 45 person professional services environment based in the United States, with Grokability Snipe-IT positioned to centralize hardware and software asset records and provide a single source of truth for IT asset management activities at APS. Grokability Snipe-IT was configured to support standard ITAM and SAM capabilities, including serialized hardware inventory, asset tagging and tracking, software license and entitlement records, assignment to users, lifecycle status tracking for procurement and disposition, and a searchable documentation repository. The implementation emphasized asset configuration and inventory governance, with templates for desktop and laptop classes and managed records for Adobe and other SaaS subscriptions that APS supports. Operationally the application was deployed to operate alongside existing IT controls and tooling used by APS IT staff, reflecting the operational environment where Active Directory, Office 365 administration, BeyondTrust remote support, and mobile device management tools were part of routine workflows managed by the internal IT support team. The rollout and ongoing administration were executed by APS IT support staff, leveraging existing inventory practices and the team experience managing Snipe IT to onboard equipment records, establish user assignments, and align asset workflows with support and procurement processes.
