In 2015, Areas implemented Serrala FinanceSuite to strengthen AP Automation and to automate cash allocation within the order to cash cycle. The Serrala FinanceSuite deployment at Areas Spain was positioned to support finance and treasury business functions, centralizing accounts payable, receivable and electronic banking workflows.
The implementation included Serrala AutoBank for SAP and Serrala Payment management for SAP alongside SAP Standard FI GL, AP, AR modules and Treasury setup and maintenance. Functional configuration focused on automated cash allocation, remittance advice processing and bank statement handling, with development concepts and testing activities executed as part of the project scope.
Integration work centered on SAP IDOC configuration for customer REMADV EDI820 remittance advice files and FINSTA bank statement files to enable electronic banking and automated reconciliation. Serrala AutoBank and Serrala Payment management components were configured to exchange remittance and bank statement data with SAP, enabling end to end processing across order to cash and payables workflows.
Project governance and delivery were led by a project manager and senior consultant from Hanse Orga EMEA, responsible for implementation execution, overall project planning, change management, scope definition, resource allocation, budget monitoring, invoicing, development concept creation and testing. Ongoing support and maintenance were defined for Serrala Payment management for SAP and SAP FI and Treasury configurations.
