The Hotjar deployment focused on standard capability sets including heatmaps, session recordings, on-site surveys, feedback widgets, funnel and form analysis, and targeted feedback collection. Configuration work concentrated on page-level instrumentation and event capture across commercial page templates and conversion flows, with Hotjar scripts embedded in the site header and sampling configured to balance coverage and page performance.
Operational ownership for Hotjar data and workflows sat with digital commerce, UX, and marketing teams, using Hotjar outputs to inform content, layout and checkout refinement. Argento used Hotjar as a Customer Experience tool to surface qualitative insights and to prioritize experience changes, linking session evidence to user research and CRO workstreams.
Governance for the Hotjar implementation included cookie consent alignment and exclusion of sensitive input fields to comply with privacy requirements in the United Kingdom, and a phased rollout approach to validate instrumentation across site areas. Hotjar was restated as the application of record for on-site behavioral insights, forming a direct relationship between Argento, Hotjar, Customer Experience and website analytics functions.
