IVU Traffic Technologies Legacy IVU Resource Planning Advanced Planning and Scheduling SCM n/a 2024 2025
In 2024, Arverio Germany began implementation of IVU Resource Planning from IVU Traffic Technologies, initiating a regional rollout for rail operations and personnel planning. The deployment targeted regional rail services in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria and focused on integrating operational scheduling with personnel and vehicle resource workflows. IVU.rail has been in use since early 2025 as the operational instance of IVU Resource Planning for integrated personnel and vehicle resource planning. The implementation configured Advanced Planning and Scheduling capabilities to centralize crew rostering, vehicle allocation and operational scheduling workflows, reducing reliance on manual spreadsheets and ad hoc coordination. Operational scope covered operations and personnel planning teams across the two German regions, with system use embedded into day-to-day planning and dispatch workflows. The deployment emphasized configuration of scheduling, resource assignment and shift pattern management consistent with Advanced Planning and Scheduling functionality. Governance adjustments standardized planning workflows and handover procedures between crew planning and vehicle planning teams, following a phased rollout that began in 2024 and reached operational use in early 2025. The IVU.rail deployment simplified planning, reduced manual work and delivered measurable time savings.
