In 2022, Arvind implemented the Lectra TextileGenesis Platform, a Blockchain Platform to establish fiber to product traceability across its denim mill operations. The deployment targeted traceability for Arvind's sustainable product lines and used blockchain tokenization to anchor provenance to physical textile assets.
The Lectra TextileGenesis Platform implementation centered on tokenization and asset digitization capabilities, issuing Fibercoins to represent fiber, yarn, fabric and finished garments and maintaining immutable provenance records on a distributed ledger. Configuration work emphasized asset lifecycle records and trace event capture at supplier touchpoints, enabling end to end traceability and auditability consistent with Blockchain Platform functional patterns.
Operational coverage included Arvind Denim and the company’s sustainable ranges such as the single origin Renaissance collection of recycled cotton, polyester and other man made fibers, with visibility extended to upstream sustainable fiber providers and supply chain partners including Lenzing. The rollout impacted supply chain, sourcing and sustainability functions, and was positioned to provide product level track and trace details for customers and downstream partners.
Governance and rollout were phased to associate tokenized provenance with selected sustainable offerings, embedding full track and trace details into product records. The implementation aligned with Arvind’s broader sustainability initiatives including participation in the Ellen MacArthur Jeans Redesign project and Fashion For Good pilots, reinforcing traceability as a core sourcing and product governance practice.
