Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2007 2008
ASCAP selected and deployed Microsoft Dynamics GP in 2007 as its ERP Financial system to replace a legacy accounting platform. The implementation established Dynamics GP as the central finance application, with later engagements (notably a Microsoft Dynamics Engineer contract from July 2019–January 2020) focused on ongoing administration, customization, and support for core finance functions including general ledger, payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, budgeting, and reporting. The Dynamics GP environment was actively integrated with multiple third-party systems—Concur for travel and expenses, ADP for payroll, and ASCAP’s Licensing, Membership and Distribution systems—requiring design and management of cross-application data flows and business data structures. Tasks during the contract included configuring and designing reporting systems, managing patches and version upgrades, enforcing user access security and workflow rules, documenting technical procedures and business processes, authoring technical system architecture and user stories, and providing end-user training and day-to-day finance support. The implementation scope centers on enterprise finance operations and connected licensing/membership and distribution functions, with workstreams to standardize processes and align technical solutions to business requirements.

Broadcom Legacy AppWorx Workload Automation Business Process Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2021 2021
In 2021, ASCAP integrated AppWorx Workload Automation to orchestrate scheduled workloads across its Node.js and Oracle application stack. The AppWorx Workload Automation deployment served as the Business Process Management layer responsible for coordinating ETL jobs, API invocation patterns, and Oracle stored procedure executions. AppWorx Workload Automation was configured to schedule and run jobs that invoke Node.js microservices, execute Oracle PL/SQL packages and stored procedures, and trigger ETL flows built with the request module and OAuth 2.0. The implementation coexisted with a custom logging microservice that had been integrated into application modules to capture actions such as approve, cancel, and export, and AppWorx scheduled the backend calls that produced those logged events. API surface management was documented with Swagger OpenAPI specifications, and authentication for the microservices layer was enforced through JSON Web Tokens and an Apigee gateway. Within ASCAPs overall architecture AppWorx jobs executed against services that relied on Oracle for persistence, Apigee for gateway and authentication functionality, and Azure for telemetry and hosting. Azure Application Insights and OpenTelemetry were used to capture user and geographic activity and to raise alerts for specific log messages, while Splunk provided aggregated error logging. Infrastructure and scaling of Azure App Services were managed with Terraform modules, and Nginx reverse proxying directed traffic between App Service instances. Governance and delivery procedures were aligned with Agile methodology and JIRA based task workflows, test driven development practices using Cucumber and Mocha, and unit testing with Jasmine for Angular code. Source control and merge request policies were enforced in GitLab, while Jenkins handled CI builds and deployments to Nginx on App Service instances, ensuring that scheduled AppWorx workloads ran against the same validated releases and environment configurations.

Cisco Systems Legacy Cisco Webex Meetings Audio Video and Web Conferencing Collaboration n/a 2018 2018
In 2018 ASCAP implemented Cisco Webex Meetings on its website, deploying Cisco Webex Meetings as its Audio Video and Web Conferencing solution to enable embedded web meeting access and browser-based joining for external and internal interactions. The deployment is described on ASCAPs public site and aligns with standard Audio Video and Web Conferencing capabilities such as real time audio and video sessions, screen sharing, meeting recording, and meeting scheduling and moderation controls to support remote collaboration and events. The implementation narrative indicates a web centric architecture that surfaces hosted Cisco Webex Meetings sessions through site embedded interfaces and direct meeting links, preserving the vendor hosted conferencing layer while presenting meetings within ASCAPs public web flows. Governance appears focused on centralized administration of meeting policies, access controls and recording settings consistent with an organization wide conferencing strategy, impacting communications, collaboration, member services and remote event workflows.
