Assura implemented Hotjar in 2020 on its public website to strengthen Customer Experience analytics and behavior tracking. The Hotjar deployment captures session recordings, heatmaps, funnel analytics and on page feedback to analyze visitor interactions across product information and contact flows. Instrumentation was embedded into site templates to ensure consistent data capture across desktop and mobile web sessions.
Hotjar was configured to surface behavior analytics and feedback that support digital marketing, user experience, product management and customer service teams. Data from Hotjar is consumed in routine UX review cycles to inform prioritization of front end improvements and conversion point optimizations. Governance and access were managed internally by Assura's digital web team with centralized implementation controls and role based data access.

In 2021, Assura deployed Dynatrace APM to instrument and monitor its public website. Assura is a Swiss insurance firm with approximately 1700 employees and implemented Dynatrace APM for Application Performance Management to provide continuous visibility into its digital customer channel.
The implementation emphasized agent based instrumentation and Real User Monitoring to capture front end load times and user journeys, paired with distributed tracing to follow server side transactions. Configuration work included automatic service detection, application topology mapping, centralized dashboards, and alerting to surface anomalies and performance regressions, reflecting core Application Performance Management capabilities.
Operational ownership was centered in digital operations and application engineering, with monitoring feeds used to support incident management and troubleshooting workflows. Rollout targeted the public website estate and focused on web operations and application engineering rather than internal administrative systems, positioning Dynatrace APM as the primary Application Performance Management telemetry source for Assuras online channel.
