In 2019, ATD Tools implemented ScanForce Inventory Management to introduce mobile scanning for warehouse operations. The deployment centralized mobile scanning for automated picking and shipping across its U.S. distribution operations, aligning the application with core Inventory Management workflows.
The implementation leveraged ScanForce WMS capabilities such as handheld barcode scanning, order picking workflows, and real-time inventory visibility to support inventory reconciliation and automated fulfillment tasks. ScanForce Inventory Management was configured to drive mobile pick and pack processes and to post transaction updates that maintain synchronized inventory records.
The ScanForce WMS integrated with the customer Sage 100 ERP environment to synchronize orders, shipments, and inventory adjustments between warehouse operations and back office order and finance records. Operational ownership was placed with warehouse and distribution teams across U.S. sites, governance standardized pick and ship workflows under mobile scanning, and the vendor cites outcomes of more accurate shipments and better inventory management following the deployment.
