In 2024 Australians Together implemented EmploymentHero HRIS to centralize Core HR functions for its People and Culture operations. The adoption targeted a lean, education-focused not for profit with a 23 person core team and near-term hiring plans, positioning EmploymentHero HRIS as the single system of record for employee data, policy storage and people processes.
The implementation emphasized performance management and recruitment modules within EmploymentHero HRIS. Configured capabilities include structured performance reviews with reflection questions, goal setting and a star-based assessment system, documented learning plans, and a recruitment workflow that leverages candidate tracking and salary benchmarking for role and location decisions. EmploymentHero HRIS is also used to collect payroll details, tax file numbers, signed policies and to maintain an asset register for new starters.
Operationally onboarding remains orchestrated as a four week process in Asana, with EmploymentHero HRIS fulfilling the supporting role of official data collection and compliance tracking. New hire information, signed policies and asset allocations are stored in EmploymentHero HRIS to provide secure, centralized access for people operations and line managers. This configuration keeps Asana for task orchestration and EmploymentHero HRIS for authoritative HR records.
Rollout and governance were driven by the People and Culture Coordinator, who led configuration, created tutorial videos and provided hands on support to managers and staff. The deployment focused on manager enablement for regular check ins and mid year reviews, consistent documentation of goals and career conversations, and shifting routine inquiries to self service within EmploymentHero HRIS.
