In 2011 Avaya implemented FIS GETPAID as an AR Automation deployment to support its Customer Order and Billing Collections team, targeting the collection of open accounts receivable stemming from SAP Order Management with an annual exposure of approximately $25 million. The engagement positioned FIS GETPAID as the centralized billing collections application, integrating invoice extraction, collection case management, and dunning orchestration to bring invoice status and collection activity into a single operational flow.
The implementation included a designed interface between SAP Order Management and the GetPaid application to extract open A/R invoices and feed them into automated collection workflows. Functional capabilities configured included invoice intake and reconciliation, dispute resolution workflow construction, and automated dunning sequencing, reflecting standard AR Automation functionality for collections and cash application.
Operational integrations centered on SAP Order Management as the source of invoice data and the GetPaid collections engine for case handling and account controls. The solution established rules to apply dunning and shipping block controls on customers identified as delinquent, and the dispute resolution workflow routed exceptions for investigation and hold release, impacting collections and order management business functions.
Governance and rollout were managed through a project ownership model where the Customer Order and Billing Collections project owner and a dedicated Business Analyst collaborated with the project manager to define scope, resource requirements, and timelines. The controlled use of dunning and shipping blocks was cited as improving revenues by 10 percent, representing an explicit outcome of the AR Automation implementation with FIS GETPAID.

In 2018 Avaya deployed Eptura Serraview Space Planning to address Facility Management requirements across its United States corporate real estate and workplace portfolio. The implementation was delivered with Cushman & Wakefield and targeted consolidation of floor plans, occupancy validation and chargeback workflows to enable centralized space reporting and governance.
Eptura Serraview Space Planning was configured to consolidate floor plans and canonical occupancy records, and it used Serraview workplace optimization and workforce enablement capabilities to accelerate reporting and improve employee experience. Functional capabilities implemented included space inventory management, occupancy analytics, workforce enablement tooling, and chargeback calculation to support finance and real estate decisioning.
The deployment supported corporate real estate, workplace operations and finance teams within Avaya US, with Cushman & Wakefield acting as the implementation partner. Integrations were focused on operational alignment between space data and chargeback processes, providing a single source of truth for CRE and workplace management workflows.
Governance changes centered on using validated occupancy data and chargeback reporting to drive portfolio decisions and operational policy for space allocation. Outcomes stated by the project included closing 15 leases and reducing Avaya’s footprint by nearly 25 percent, achieved through data-driven portfolio decisions enabled by Serraview.
