Implementation work included production-line personalization activities, application of a visible sustainability seal for customer recognition, and adherence to circular economy principles in the card manufacturing process. Operational coverage began with customers renewing Visa International and Visa Gold credit cards as of April 2021, and the program was planned to extend to all BBVA Argentina credit and debit cards. The initiative was executed through IDEMIA's card manufacturing and personalization processes, and since February 2021 more than 500,000 BBVA Latin America clients have received the ecological payment alternative. Governance and rollout used a phased approach tied to card renewal cycles, creating changes in card issuance workflows, product management, and customer communications to incorporate sustainability labeling and recycled material handling. IDEMIA GREENPAY as a Card Personalization deployment reoriented the bank's physical personalization and fulfillment processes to support sustainability objectives while keeping existing card issuance channels in place.
