In 2023 BankVic implemented Indue PayTo in a Payment Processing initiative to modernise direct-debit-style payments for its members. The BankVic implementation of Indue PayTo focused on shifting payment flows to NPP PayTo rails, enabling improved real-time payment control and member-directed authorisation models.
The deployment was executed as a collaborative Ultradata and Indue project, with Indue acting as the NPP participant and Ultradata participating in development and testing. Testing activity began in May 2023, and the technical work emphasized consent capture, payee authorisation, and real-time payment initiation consistent with Payment Processing capabilities for retail banking payments.
Operational coverage included member-facing payment experience and back-office transaction processing for BankVic, and the implementation served as an early-adopter blueprint for mutual banks. Governance was coordinated through the Indue led program of testing and use case validation, with BankVic contributing early-adopter feedback that informed configuration and rollout guidance for other mutuals.
BankVic’s early-adopter participation helped create a repeatable implementation blueprint, and the Indue PayTo deployment materially targeted improved real-time control for members and modernisation of recurring payment orchestration.
