In 2013, Banque Populaire du Rwanda implemented Temenos T24 in the Core Banking category. The project targeted the bank’s national branch network and centralized transactional processing and customer account management for a 1,400 employee institution in Rwanda.
Temenos T24 was configured with standard Core Banking modules, including retail deposits, lending functionality, payments processing, general ledger posting, and customer information management. Configuration work emphasized local product parameterization, chart of accounts alignment, and operational workflows, with a named T24 Application Officer responsible for application configuration and day to day parameter governance.
ITSS Global served as the implementation partner and provided systems integration and deployment services, supporting go live coordination and handover to internal operations. The engagement established an application support footprint across branches and back office teams, with the T24 Application Officer coordinating release management, incident handling, and operational runbooks.
Governance for Temenos T24 centered on an application ownership model, defined change control processes, and an internal support escalation path led by the T24 Application Officer. Training and operational documentation were incorporated into the rollout to sustain ongoing configuration management and support for Core Banking operations.
