In 2019, Baptist Health Louisville implemented CobbleStone Software Contract Insight Express to centralize and maintain all physician contracts. The deployment addressed Contract Lifecycle Management for physician contracting, onboarding, and recruiting workflows and was positioned as a central system of record for physician agreements.
The implementation configured core Contract Lifecycle Management capabilities typical for the category, including a centralized contract repository, template-based contract generation, approval routing and workflow automation, role based access controls, and eSign enablement. A pilot was designed specifically for physicians to eSign their contracts using CobbleStone Software Contract Insight Express, validating the eSignature workflow and template-driven generation for physician agreements.
Operational scope covered the physician onboarding, contracting, and recruiting teams, with documented standards of work created to govern intake, contract authoring, approval routing, and execution processes. Those standards of work were developed and documented to support consistent contracting practices, streamline handoffs between recruiting and contracting, and to serve as the operational playbook during the pilot and subsequent rollout.
The project notes indicate the Cobblestone Contract Management Software Solution was successfully designed and implemented to maintain all physician contracts, and the eSign pilot established the foundation for automated execution within the institution. CobbleStone Software Contract Insight Express serves as the Contract Lifecycle Management application for Baptist Health Louisville physician contracting and onboarding functions.
