The FirstNet deployment integrated into Barwon Health's integrated EHR architecture and included information sharing and upload routes to My Health Record, enabling electronic exchange with the national health record. Operational scope was centered on University Hospital Geelong in Victoria, Australia, while integration work connected the ED instance into Barwon Health's enterprise Electronic Health Record environment.
Governance and rollout were aligned to Barwon Health's integrated EHR strategy, with the FirstNet implementation acting as the emergency department node for enterprise record consolidation and external interoperability via My Health Record.
