In 2009, Bath & Body Works implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform supporting corporate accounting and finance functions. The implementation centralized the monthly close process, weekly projection submissions, and participation in the financial projection process for home office departments, while also supporting twice yearly company budget preparation and list rentals revenue and customer loyalty program accounting.
Configuration and functional work focused on G/L maintenance and systems driven accounting activities within Oracle E-Business Suite, embedding general ledger controls and automated accounting workflows. The project included the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Blackline account reconciliation software integrated into the close process to manage reconciliations and to support month end orchestration.
The deployment covered home office finance and accounting operations and was used to support accounting for strategic transactions, including the Dress Barn purchase of Tween Brands. In 2012 the company completed an Oracle R12 upgrade and a company wide conversion to Oracle, and implementation teams created company and account hierarchy structures in Oracle to enable expansion into Canada and to add the Brothers clothing line within the system.
Governance and process changes emphasized using Oracle E-Business Suite to drive process improvements across all financial departments, standardize projection and budget workflows, and institutionalize G/L maintenance as part of periodic close and budgeting cycles. Operational ownership remained with finance and accounting, with centralized reconciliation and close governance supported by the combined Oracle and Blackline application set.

| Ironclad | Legacy | Ironclad CLM | Contract Lifecycle Management | Content Management | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Bath & Body Works implemented Ironclad CLM to centralize contract activities within the Legal Department. Ironclad CLM, a Contract Lifecycle Management solution, was positioned to support the Legal Operations Manager and the broader legal and compliance organization for domestic and international business initiatives.
The deployment focused on core Contract Lifecycle Management capabilities including contract authoring and templating, structured approval workflows, a searchable clause library, centralized contract repository, and reporting on contract status and obligations. Configuration work emphasized aligning templates and approval matrices with business unit and compliance requirements, and automating routing and notification workflows to reduce manual handoffs.
Operational configuration was designed to sit alongside matter management, billing, document management, and reporting tools, with the Legal Operations Manager acting as the primary administrator and technical liaison. Responsibilities articulated in the role included troubleshooting matter management interactions, managing software updates and upgrades with vendors, producing timely reporting on matters and invoices, and providing direct technical support to legal associates.
Governance and rollout centered on process documentation, training, and standardization across the legal department, with the Legal Operations Manager owning onboarding for associates, creation and maintenance of operational procedures, and project management for special initiatives. This structure supported consistent use of Ironclad CLM across attorneys, internal business partners, external law firms, and vendors, and established a single point of contact for system governance and change management.
