Operational coverage was focused on the HR organization at Bayer Inc in Canada, impacting compensation and benefits administration and related HR service delivery. Data migration activities populated SAP HCM with existing employee records and benefit entitlements, and business acceptance testing governed functional sign off prior to go live.
Delivery was performed in a team environment with functional consultants, technical consultants and business analysts collaborating across design, development and testing phases. The implementation integrated with Bayer s CDIS, the Customer Data Information System master data management system, and operational handoffs involved the CRM Veeva teams and ERP stakeholders. Analysis and validation workflows used Excel and Access for data profiling, while accounting and procurement reconciliations were validated against SAP, creating an operational chain from event capture through financial validation.
Governance and process changes were led from the Mississauga data stewardship role, which defined master data rules, privacy measures, maintenance processes, and access rights, and trained CDIS users on data management standards. The data steward acted as the single point of contact for the CDIS Global Service Team and CRM Veeva and ERP Event Management data stewards, and explicitly guaranteed reliable Transfer-of-Value data and validated analysis reports with Accounting and Procurement using SAP and Excel.
